ABOUT US
Thanks for your interest in the Inman Middle Robotics Club! The robotics club has been around for many years. We hold our club meetings after-school hours once-per-week at the school. The robotics program is a light hearted, fun and creative environment where students from 6-8th grade can get introduced to the subject of robotics. For those students with some experience already, we have more advanced subjects and projects for them to tackle. We work with all levels of student, from little-to-no experience to those with years of experience.
*We are dedicated to working with students who qualify for financial exceptions in order to waive the program fee.
Focus
Our club’s focus is: fun, teamwork and robotics! Our desire is that all students participating have a team-spirit, a desire to learn about robotics and to solve robotic challenges in a team environment. Typically students will work in groups of two through the semester. Our main platform is the Lego Mindstorm’s EV3 robot kit. We use the programming software that comes with this kit to teach the students how to make things move!
LEGO ROBOTICS
We use the Lego EV3 Mindstorms as our teaching platform.

vex robotics
You may have heard about VEX robotics which is a type of robotics platform.
Here is the website with tons of information about VEX: www.vex.com/
We use the Lego Mindstorms EV3 platform and not VEX.
There is a club at Inman which is involved in using VEX Robotics....
